I don't know if this is the right place to do this, but I developed a website on my local computer and I want to continue developing it on a machine at work. The actually file with all the aspx and vb stuff on it resides on a development server called D. I went into the IIS on D and added a website name (dev.appraiserapp.com) with the web files in it. Now I am trying to open the files in it on Microsoft Visual Studio.Net. In Microsoft Visual Studio.net, I go to File -> Blank Solution. Then I name the solution and browse to the website file (called appraiserapp.com) on D Server. Then I right click on the new project added and go to add existing web project. It then requires me to log on to the D server. After doing this it then says to enter the URL of the server the website lives on. So I put in http://dev.appraiserapp.com. Then it gives me the error :

Unable to open Web Project '/'. The File Path 'U:\appraiserapp.com' does not correspond to the URL 'http://localhost:'. The two need to map to the same server location. HTTP Error404: Object Not Found

The reason there is a U on this 'U:\appraiserapp.com' and not a D is because when I mapped a network drive to the server on my work computer, i gave it the letter U.
