    IE Update and Yellow form fields ??!??

    Hi,

    my PC must have just updated IE.... Now most form fields are highlighted in yellow (yellow background), has anybody seen this happen recently?

    The strange thing is that not all form fields show up with a yellow background, yet the tags of the inputs are all the same.

    I am using IE version 6.0.2800.1106

    Would anyone know the reason for this?

    DH

    Did you recently download/update/reconfigure Google's toolbar?

    If so, look under "Options"/"More"/"Automatically highlight fields that AutoFill can fill".

    Re: Google Toolbar (offyopic and offboard...), it seems to have gotten stuck next to the address bar, do you know how to move it underneath the address bar instead?

    I wondered what had happened myself the first time I saw the yellow fields

    First go to view/toolbars and make sure that "lock toolbars" is not ticked/checked. If it is, uncheck it.

    When "lock toolbars" is unchecked, each toolbar will have a small vertical line on the left-hand side. You can drag the toolbars around using this.

    When you have the toolbars where you want them, you can check "lock toolbars" to keep them there.

    Hi

    If you want to stop the yellow feilds in forms you make add this code to the page:

    <script language="JavaScript">
    if(window.attachEvent)
    window.attachEvent("onload",restoreStyles);

    function restoreStyles(){
    inputList = document.getElementsByTagName("INPUT");
    for(i=0;i<inputList.length;i++)
    inputList[i].style.backgroundColor = "";
    selectList = document.getElementsByTagName("SELECT");
    for(i=0;i<selectList.length;i++)
    selectList[i].style.backgroundColor = "";
    }
    </script>
