I'm going to develop a portal and a key piece of that is a full internet search.

Now the requirements for this is to integrate it seemlessly and flawlessly into my site, much in the way you can integrate atomz.com with your site.

I cannot afford to pay for this service, so it needs to be free.

So does anyone know of a service that fits these requirements?

If I can't find one I will just make a script that queries google and parses the results but I don't look forward to coding something that complicated. Or I may look to using DMOZ data and making it myself. But I'm hoping for an easier solution.

    Hey Chris,

I would suggest that you check out http://hotscripts.com

No matter what language you want to build your portal in, they have a solution there for you. And many many of them are free.

http://www.portalscripts.com/ has a very nice script (ODP++) that uses DMOZ data. It is completely customizable, and very easy to use.

Thanks Aidan. Thats exactly what I wanted. I was thinking of using and modifying a google metasearch script at hotscripts but since those have limited functionality I think I will use this instead.
