    Selector & Focus Problem

    I have a HTML selector on a form where users select a value, then can scroll down the form. The problem I am running into is that the focus is still set on the selector when he user begins to scroll, using a "scroll wheel" on his mouse. When the user starts to scroll, he can inadvertantly change the value he has already selected, if he has not removed focus from the selector.

    I need to remove the focus from the selector, so that this does not happen. Do any of you have experience with this situation, or can any of you select a way to deal with this problem.

    Thanks!

    HTML Code:
    <!--make the dropdown lose focus after selection is made-->
    <select name="myselect" onchange="this.blur();"></select>
    But then you run into another issue:what if the user chose the wrong option? Then they've lost focus and it can cause some aggravation.
