    Community Site Template

I released my forums a few days back(see #2 in sig), and am currently working on the site. Right now I have the following templates:

    http://www.infinityends.com/starwars/page7.html
    http://www.infinityends.com/starwars/page8.html

Which one looks better, how is the header? Any suggestions?

page 8 I think as it look simpler without that chrome thingie. and would probably save download time.
But honestly they both take too long to load.

Neither of the layouts are that appealing. I do like the header, but mainly by the way you have spliced the Star Wars images into it.

Sorry if that wasn't what you wanted to hear.

I'd have to agree with EBilly... but it looks like you didn't spend much time on the body of the page. Try to put some more details into each box. You could try experimenting with different colors that may be more contrasting. The white - light gray doesn't mix well....looks washed out.

With the chrome line it is eaither all or nothing. If you are gonna use it...I think use it everywhere, put another vertical between the 2nd and 3rd sections. I'm on a T1 here at work so I can't judge the load time.

To be more positive... I do like your idea for the header.
But I think that you may want to try to split up the images with something else... A funky shaped parallelogram just doesn't do it for me.
