    photoshop to make website

I was wondering if someone could give me a braindump on using photoshop to create a website? Not how to do it step by step of course, but a general start to finish summary of the process. Also, what are the different functions of photoshop, image ready, and illustrator? I just want to get an overall handle on things.

I didn't even know Photoshop had that ability

I always use it to create just a graphic of what I want my site to look like, then 'cut it apart' and put it into html.

You can use Photoshop to create a layout for your future website but to build it you need more than Photoshop. Photoshop have nice tools to optimize your images for the web but not for create a whole site. Instead try to use Macromedia Dreaweaver or any other HTML application.

Okay...Charlie Brown just answered my question. He creates a graphic of what he wants the site to look like then cuts it apart and puts it into html. Thats exactly what I mean.

Can you point me to a site that shows the basics of doing this or outline the process to help me get my learn on. I'm talking about the the photoshop side of things.

I may be willing to pay (paypal) or exchange coding services for advice/work.

    Thanks

You can use Image Ready to slice up the images and turn it into HTML code which you can edit
