    Designed in wrong reseloution

Hi Guys I know this question has beeen beatean to death, but I stupidly forgot to reset my screen resolotuin down to 800x 600 which is what I usually design in, so now I have a site desgined in 1024 x 768 . Settinfg screen resloyuion to 800 x 600 chops the right hand column ( right where my google ads are)

Has the postion changed as reagrds the most common screen resolotuin do most users have the screen resolotuin set to 800 x 600? is it wise to leave it 1024 x 768 or should I do the changes.

Would setting all sizes to % instead of Pixels achevie this?

    Cheers Kili

If you're keeping your site a static width, then retool it so it fits in 800x600. Go with a fluid (percentage-based) layout if you can though.

Thanks vgarcia. I usually design in 800 x 600 using SSI for the headers footers left and right. using %? does that expand to fill the browser no matter what the reseloution?

Arg I hate having to do this again got about 200 pages to redo.

It's not fun, but your site will be better off in the long run with the work you're doing now .

Thanks Vgarcia. I managed to sort it already by simply making the tables to 80% and putting a couple of <br> on my ssi files to draw them down. All can be seen now. Maybe nI'll get a few more clicks on the google ads now that users in 800x600 can actually see them on the right side of the screen lol...

    Cheers Kili
