I have a style sheet that defines link, visited links and hover colors. Even though the hover color is defined last, when the mouse hovers over the visited links, they do not change to the hover color. I tried adding a style defining the hover color after the link to the style sheet but that didn't work either. Is there something very easy that I'm missing?
That's great. Hovering color links can add a lot to a site's design and increase click-through ratios if you allow text advertising on your web site. But, a bad color selection can also detract from a site's design. Be careful
Thanks. I appreciate you concern but I am careful.
I'm defining the hover colors in a style sheet for this site because some visitors may have configured their own link colors in their browsers and those colors could potentially clash with the look of the site.
The site I'm developing is for a high echelon antique carpet gallery and doesn't accept any advertising. It was my customer who noticed that the hover color didn't work on a particular link which I knew he had visited.
