    is this what you mean?

    $metatags = get_meta_tags("http://www.domain.com/",1);
    echo "$metatags[keywords]";
    echo "$metatags[description]";

    get_meta_tag() built-in doesn't work very well if I recall correctly, like it can't grasp multiple lines spanning words. So you'd be better use ereg
