    DHTML / PHP Thumbnailer

    Greetings all --

Check out my DHTML/PHP powered image thumbnailer:

    http://dev.thelocust.org/test/thumbn...humbnailer.php

You can upload images or enter URLs to load the image. Drag the little green crop markers, and then click "crop" to pop up a window with the cropped image.

This was developed on Firebird, and has been tested in IE. They seem to work identically -- with the exception that IE refuses to show the image on the initial load -- like it has it in cache, but doesn't show it. A refresh clears this up.

Also, note the "nudge" and "set boundary" widgets. You can use the keyboard arrow keys to nudge the selected boundary(s), and "set boundary" lets you set the dimensions of the crop boundary.

This was originally written with DynAPI -- but considering CBE's far-better documentation, I thought I'd give it a shot.

I *did* have to implement my own drag boundary setting functions (a nicety included with DynAPI).

Anyway -- This is still a work in progress, but I feel I'm fairly close.

Give it a shot, and let me know what you think.

Your program doesn't even load with the Google toolbar's pop-up blocker enabled. Who knows what else will happen with others.

Heh. Ah yeah -- that was the CBE Debug window. Should be OK now.
