PhotoShop CS -> PhotoShop version 6

I have created template in PhotoShop CS, but my client can not open this template in his PhotoShop v.6.

He gets a message saying .."this is not valid .psd file"...... any idea why?

How can I save in version 6?

    Try this...

Within your Prefs, and under the "File Handling..." page, make sure the option "Maximize PSD file compatibility" is set to either "Always" or "Ask". I'm not positive if this function deals with this sort of issue, but it's worth checking anywho.

The other thing to watch for is that you're not using a lot of the new features of PS CS like "nested layer groups" and such. PS6 won't know how to read the file correctly i'd assume.

See if that helps at all.

    Thanks,
Maximize PSD file compatibility did not work, but if I saved as in imageready customer opened file no problem.
