    Found a new CSS site

You guys might have known about this, but its cool to come across big corporations who do this now.

BP (aka, old Amaco ) Gas stations has a site at www.bp.com I had to do a view source when I saw it , and sure enough, XHTML and no tables

Just wanted to drop the link off

    Nice looking site.

Code is a bit dodgy though. You can forgive the invalid use of '=' in the urls.

    But what about this?

Line 198, column 25: "mRight10" is not a member of a group specified for any attribute (explain...).

    <div mRight10><img src="images/link_arrow.gif" class="mRight5" alt="
    ...

    Creative use of a div.

Too bad their designers aren't savvy enought to set a page background color. Looks dreadful here colorwise.

Also doesn't validate including the 'creative use of a div' mentioned above.

Plus which it breaks down badly in NN 4.79 - it is unreadable. The Sprint site does better - shows plain text and a nice note explaining why visitors should upgrade browsers

Earther, why is you background different. Do you set a default other than white?

I used their contact form. Could use some work. You have to select a category and subcategory of enquiry, but the subcat dropdown is empty (well, just says 'select') until you select a major category AND select 'Go'.

    Very clunky.

If your query doesn't fit one of those - too bad.

Yes, and I change it every so often as I'm sure others do too. Who knows, someone might even like black BG and red font! I also set link colors other than the default. It looks great in my e-mail program but produces some rather interesting results when I surf - it's easy to tell which designers have done their jobs thoroughly and which haven't.
