Okay i know it has been asked before but here goes...
I am feeling that using 3rd party cc payment methods (paypal) when selling software or services to clients is not quite the peek of professionlism.
I would therefore like to integrate a payment system into my site. It will server two purposes...
- Take payment for the off-the-shelf solutions i offer.
- Take payment (of varying amounts) from clients that have had custom work done.
Price is important although not primary.
I would like to hear of any good payment gateway providers that you know of.
I would like to extend an invitation to come visit my site, http://www.merchantseek.com Here you can search for a Merchant Account Provider, plus I feature a growing knowledge base of information about accepting credit cards, including picking the right solution for your business. Come on over and take a peek, I think you may find the answers to your questions.

Since you're in NZ I would suggest applying with Planet Payment at http://www.planetpayment.com as they can set you up to accept credit cards in your own currency.
Hope I was of some help to you!

Is the payment schedule for paymentplanet available online or do you have to email them to get it.
I looker around their site but couldn't find it anywhere./
Planet Payment transfers funds from your merchant account into the local bank account you designate for settlement of funds twice monthly, on the 8th and 23rd day of each month. Payment on the 8th is for funds settled into your account through the last day of the prior month; and payment on the 23rd is for funds settled to your account through the 15th. Where applicable, a wire transfer fee will be passed on to you each time we transfer funds to your account.
Also, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is included which will save you several hundred dollars from having to purchase a secure certificate from a 3rd party.
A rather nice deal. I would contact them and let then know where you're located, what kinds of products you sell, what faucets you plan to sell them through (Internet, Mail Order/Telephone Order, and/or Retail). The more information you give them the more specific price quote they will be able to give you.
Hope this helps!
