    Web project management

How about a forum on web project/process management, team work flow, etc.?

This was suggested in response to something I wrote today in another thread:

    Hi Lawrence.

I think your suggestion is good and it's an interesting topic.

However, Sitepointforums policy is that a new forum isn't opened before there is enough talk about it in other forums. This rule aplies because there are already a lot forums here (around 60). Some think it's too many (or at least enough).

I did a search and I can't find much talk about it so far (If you do please post them), but if talk increase it will be more pertinent.

Thanks so much, Helge. I understand very well. I host a fairly popular set of forums on another site, and we struggle with the same issues, i.e. too many forums, need this or that new forum... etc.

Let's see what the interest is.

    Agree.

I take two classes, Project Management and Projecting a Processing Plant, at uni. So personally I would love to see such a forum, even if my classes aren't about web. But I guess many of the same principles applies.

There has been quite a bit of talk about Project Management in the past. There has even been articles written about it.

Putting a forum up about project management will be a HIT from the start!

My comments from the "other" thread

I think that such a forum would be very useful because it can really help people organize their business, which is something that is hardly ever discussed but is very important.

Those were just searches from these forums for "project management," "workflow" etc. I confirmed that they weren't working and just deleted that message. Thanks for telling me.

Another Vote for Project Management forum.

There are plenty of discussions within other posts. Project Management: financial, infrastructure, development, testing, maintenance, implementation. Whether an individual or a firm of many, there are tasks that need to be managed from the original concept to final implementation.
