    I just received the following email..... Reads like a classic con to me.

    Mods.... If you can think of a better place to post this... Please move.

    I get these all the time - but never to my paypal e-mail address. Get the Internet headers & send to spoof@paypal.com

    I just received an email from the spoof@paypal saying that the attachment ( which I hadn't bothered to open ) contained a virus so it seems they weren't really after my details, just another way ( unsuccessful this time ) of getting you to open strange attachments.

    How sad/sick/demented/pathetic

    PayPal has said that every message they send you will contain your name, not "PayPal account holder" or whatever.

    Yeah, you should NEVER click a link in any of these messages, even if the URL looks legit.

    This is definately a virus attachment. One of my clients was a victim.
