How do you goa bout creating a WYSIWYG editor, what language are they made in? JavaScript? CSS?

Also what are interactive things such as drop down menus made from? JavaScript as well? What is the most useful language to learn for this sort of thing?

    Thanks in advance.

I think that if you don't know how to make a drop-down box go down, you'll be able to make it, but I think that the last one I saw used Javascript.

To create a WYSIWIG editor? Probably something like C, C++, Visual basic, or even Java. The only reason you'd use Javascript or similar is if your WYSIWIG editor was going to run in a browser.

If you have to ask, you don't have enough experience to make one. Sorry to put it so bluntly.

She did ask "what's the best language to learn" - and what better way to learn something than to apply it to an actual project? No harm in asking the question!

I second that! No such thing as a stupid question.
