Hello, I would like a simple website of mine to be reviewed.

It is iFroggy Design - http://www.ifroggy.com/ifroggydesign.

I want opinions on design, layout, content, etc. Its a small site, so it shouldn't take anyone long.

    Thanks for your time.

The board currently links to froggydesign. Remove the period to get to the site...

Comments on the site. I can't say that it "stands" out... it's one of those weird things. It's a nice clean design, and I can't offer any suggestions, but something just doesn't "click." Perhaps it's the dropshadows... I'm not a big fan of dropshadows.

Also, try changing the title font. It's rather dull.

    But nice otherwise

(Maybe you should stick to green/white color scheme? It seems that it would look a lot better since it IS iFroggy)

    Random thoughts from me

It seems to look incomplete to me. I can't put my finger on it, but I think it is the left side menu.

It sticks out to much and makes my eyes stop at the pointy part.

Your copyright stuff should also by moved over so it is inline with your other text.

On this link your copyright text needs a space between it and the websites you have created.
    http://www.ifroggy.com/ifroggydesign/portfolio.html

I get a 404 error on this link.
    http://www.ifroggy.com/ifroggydesign/services.htm

You forgot the .html for the above link.

Other than that not bad. A nice clean look that is simple. I am picky, but a good picky.

    Thanks guys.

edshuck: I edited my post, the link now works.

honging: Thanks, I am gonna work on some things, something doesn't seem to "click" with me either, so I think I'll mess around with it a bit. About the green, I thought about that... but I really like these colors.

WebmasterLane: Thanks, I fixed the link and moved the copyright text. What you said about the point makes sense. I am going to try to come up with a different idea.

    Hi

I should have noticed the . but I did not. Thanks, honging, for catching that.

First glance, and only for a second and then I will go back and do the details.

I got the impression of an intersection, not sure why but the impression was a good one. Kind of like, this is where the web meets, not sure. I caught the menu at the left. All the impressions are good.

Now to take a longer look.
    ------------
marginheight and marginwidth are not recognized attributes of the body tag.
    <body bgcolor="#ffffff" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"

I keep running into this question about the marginheight and marginwidth, I do not know
    ------------

Design. Seems OK. Not too busy. Not dull. Clean easy to read.

Content. Perfect. If I am a potential customer I do not want to be overwhelmed. I want enough information to make me feel you know what you are doing. Like I said...perfect.

Layout. A good table candidate. And that is what you used.

I would look for indications that the designer could help me through the design maze and get me in front of my customer. If we want to do a template, even that will move best if done through a professional guide.

    You have done that.

    I like it.

    Thanks for sharing.

    peace

I like your font and choice of colors, but there's something about your left menu bar, that pointed arrow, that doesn't click with me.

Also, I think you need a better catch phrase, if you will.

Edshuck: Thanks! I really appreciate the time that you put into your review.

    M. James: Thanks Marc. I think your right, the catch phrase may need some work.

Here is my opinion. Very strange but nice style that catch my eyes, the whole site is clean and simple. I just want to add one thing, it would be nicer if you create a logo picture, not just letters to make the site more eye-catching. Also the top logo is too big with unneccessary spaces, I like to see it smaller.

I think your site is really useful, your design is clean and look professional. This review is small, just like your site as you said

    Hi,

Nice page. Its pretty slick but you should change the 'triangle pointing' thingy. It doesn't look nice on a white bg. Especially with that colour scheme.

I looked @ the nav. menu closely and I can see that the space between 'testomonials, portfolios and quotes' are uneven.

Maybe its my eyes or something.

Theres too much white space. Try to fill it up or something

    Good Luck !

    Hey

The page looks pretty general. You need to be remembered as a website design buseness. You need to innovate. COme up with new things. Astonish people.

No real HTML problems. Looks okay.

I'd say redesign it. Don't feel offended please, just my advice...

OK, Not much to say except:

    1. It looks like its missing something, i don't know what but there is.

    2. You don't have a link back to your main page? This is really going to confuse people.

    3. When you click i link the whole link goes white including background. It just looks a bit weird to me. I kept trying to unhighlight it at first.

Well, HHope that helps and take note of number 2.

    Pete

There is nothing on my main page to go back to. And the remaining pages, which are linked on every page are the only ones that have any real information on them.

    Thanks for your reviews.

    Interesting name you chose.
That iFroggy logo at the top of every page is big. Might want to shrink it down, shave it down, redo it, something.
You're site makes great use of frames. However, your Testimonials and Price Quote pages don't use frames like the other pages, but are a single page. That's just a bit inconsistant.
Your navigation background graphic has a look to it I don't think I've seen anywhere else before, and I kind-a like it.
Your content, though small at the moment, is well laid out and it's easy to find just the info I'm looking for.
Didn't peek at the code. I only do that if I spot errors, which I didn't.
I'd say you're well on your way. Keep it up!

Edited because my line breaks got lost, so I put them back.

Hi.If it was my page, I'd lose the shadow, and replace it with a 2 pixels black border (give it a try, you'll like it!)In Photoshop 5: Edit > StrokeAlso, I'd change the fonts, and maybe put a black border around them too (It might look as I'm telling you to put black borders around everything, but I really think these look great). I always go to topfont.com to find fonts, but there are lots of other good font sites. you could try searching for that at dmoz.org or something...!Finally (I should have said it first of all, but I forgot and I don't want to redo the whole reply :), I personally think it doesn't 'click' because it's too square, I mean, I can't see a round line in your whole site, maybe that is it.I've seen your portfolio, and I think you can do better than what you've got there. And I mean, it's your design services site! It should be the best you've got or you won't get all the orders you deserve!
