    Talking ModelingTalk.com

I am in the process of starting this site ( very soon ). But competing with the likes of onemodelplace.com or models.com i would need to earn money to support my costs incurred while running it ( and 'tis would be my first actual ecom venture ). could somebody plase pour in their two (or perhaps three ) cents on what all ecommerce potential this site could have.

Thankins in advance for your advice and wishing you a verry verry happy and profitable 2004.

Well, being a site about modeling I think you'll be in a tough industry. There are so many sites out there that are scams, just fronts for porn or semi-porn websites. You'll have to be extra careful to portray yourself as professional and legitimate but there is probably a need for that in the industry.

That's right Brandon ! Presenting my self as A purely legitimate player amongst many other greedy scamsters is certainly a challenge and shifting thru marketingsherpa archives and other resources i have made a list of trust builders.

But you are involved in a very competitive industry of Shared Hosing so not being in your competition could i have the privelage of asking you some of the tactics that you use as trust builders for your business.

Any other help for anyone on this board would be sincerely appreciated.

    Thanks

Well, to help reassure our clients and potential clients we are legitimate we have a toll-free 800 number and answer the phone. It is not neccessarily for technical support but more for general sales and customer service questions. We answer support tickets in a timely manner and keep in contact with our customers, sending occasional Christmas cards and other small tokens of our appreciation.

I honestly believe it's the small things these days that make someone stand apart from the competition. There are tons of hosts out there... large, small, etc. There are also tons of modeling sites. Just make sure you connect with your customers and build a genuine relationship with them... that's something that seems to be seriously lacking in today's business world.

    Best of luck!
