Definitive way to place Flash using CSS layouts

I was wondering if there's a definitive way, or "standard" way to place flash elements in a CSS design without using any tables. I have created a DIV ID tag and placed it within there and that worked just fine (www.vertpro.com) , but I notice a lot of sites doing it differently, or worse, just dropping back and doing it with tables even in a CSS environment.

Although its worth noting using that method may cause the movie to not display on IE5 - discussed here
