    Hi,

    I don't think you can change the inside.
    Code:
    input {
     color: green;
     background-color: red;
     border:1px solid yellow;
    }
    The green seems to be ignored by moz ie and opera.

    The background color is outside the circle in IE and mozilla but Opera puts inside the little circle. The border gets put around the whole button as if it were square.

    Adding a background color changes the button color from its default green to black.

    So it looks like its not much use.

    I suppose you could draw your own image and swap it etc but it seems like a lot of work for a small effect. (I did do a similar thing for a stylechanger to make it look like a radio button.)

    I think Paul is saying there is no way to change the inside, other than using your own images...

    Correct AFAIK. I was just just saying that it's inconsistent the way it is at present anyway.

    Also I have the feeling that some accessibility people may say that changing things like radio icons could be bad for accessibility. - Just a thought

    i think they would, too

    seriously though, if there is a way to use images, but make it degrade so that it works as a normal radio button without any fancy javascript, and working with keyboard-only etc, then by all means, go for it. it then merely becomes a matter for the usability people (passes the buck)
