    I have followed the instruction on mysql.com,
    but I always got error message like
    file not found or permission denied, anyone
    can help me ?

    Providing you haven't installed mysql, you can just put the MySQL pkg on byt using the control panel.
    http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com/

    If you have installed it, you will have a fun job of removing it

    Did you use the RPM? Or did you try to build it from source?
    -you could try getting your current install to work if you have got part way.

    Thanks, I just finished it. The problem is
    I shouldn't use the latest version(gamma version),
    after I used the older version, everything is fine
