Need a bar to always be at the bottom of the page

    Hello all!

I have a problem that I can't wrap my head around. I have my site layed out how I want, but as an afterthought I would like to have a basebar containing copyright info to always position itself at the base of the pages. I have a feeling it involves relative positioning, but with my limited knowledge of CSS I'm not sure how to get it there. You can check out the site at http://www.zorianka.com . On another note, there is a red line on the left of the page set to a height of 100% that shows up fine if the window is maximized to 1024x768. But, anything smaller and some of the line disappears even though it is above most of the other elements. I would appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks!

    Hi,

If you want the footer fixed at the bottom of the window like a frame then ie doesn't support position fixed so it's not feasible unless you want loads of unstable hacks.

If you want the footer at the bottom of the window unless the content is greater then is sits at the bottom of the document then look here:
    http://scott.sauyet.name/CSS/Demo/FooterDemo2.html

You might also find something useful here:

    Hope that helps.

    Hmm,

Just looked at your page and your using frames anyway! Why don't you put a frame at the bottom of the page then?

I'm not sure why you are using frames anyway as I can't see any benefit in your design.

    Hi!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Actually, I'm not using frames, but after looking at my site more closely online it sure seems like it. I'm still trying to figure out what the previous designer/coder did with the online/hosting portion of the site to make it run the way it does. Thanks again!
