You sure about that? I didn't see it on their site that they say they can. Setting up travel agencies that will use their merchant account for selling tickets is impossible. No one will touch them. The only way to set up a travel agency is to position them as charging for their fees only and even that is a long shot. No bank will touch travel agencies because they are as high risk as it gets (barring scams of course). Here's how it works:

    1) Travel agencies books travel with their money
    2) Travel agencies charges sales through their merchant on customer's credit card
    3) Customer backs out of the trip
    4) Tickets are not refundable
    5) Customer charges back credit card sales and wins every time
    6) Travel agency gets too many chargebacks and gets blacklisted

If a processing bank has a customer who gets too many chargebacks:

    1) First month - a warning
    2) Second month- $10,000 fine
    3) Third month on - $100,000 fine

Every bank will shut down an account immediately. No warning, no second chances. They won't risk their business to help yours.

Even the most liberal of banks won't touch any company that sells tickets for travel (airlines, cruises, etc). If you do a seacrh for merchant providers you'll see somewhere that they have a list of accounts they can't set up and travel agencies are always on it.

Add the fact that you're doing it online and you've just put the cherry on top.

stymiee - thanks, but we do accept travel tickets.

    Tiger Tom

We accept travel merchants, but there is a significant amount of due diligence neccessary to ensure that your account will be stable and clean. Give me a shout or shoot me an email and we can talk and figure out exactly what you are doing. Based on that, I can get you a quote and we can work from there. I look forward to getting your business.

    Cheers

Our banking relationships are confidential, and they will remain that way. I appreciate the fact that you are thirsty for knowledge, but this is a situation where info cannot be disclosed.

    Cheers
