133 MHz SDRAM is always better on recent motherboards because it generally doesn't cost any more but lets much more data through at one time.

Even on non-133 boards, you should still get 133 RAM in case you upgrade in the future.
There is no real reason to get 100 anymore - price difference is very small if there is one and there will be a noticeable speed increase.

Even though the CAS level is slightly worse on the 133 RAM I would still go for it - the speed will end up similar to 100 C2 i think.

Generally, PC133 memory is better, and when looking at the price, you won't notice much difference.

Especially when you play many games, you will notice the difference.

Also important aside from fast memory: a fast and reliable HD. 7200 rpm is always nice

I have noticed at some places that pc133 is actually cheaper than pc100. I expect this will change as 100mhz becomes completely obsolete and it becomes very cheap. I think now is a good time to buy memory.. even normal computer users can afford 128 or 256mb ram.

I posted an article on this topic a couple of weeks ago, with different benchmarks etc. :

    Benchmarks aside.

I personally would by 133 Megahertz RAM. Why? Because anything faster than 500 Mhz built nowadays requires 133 Mhz or faster RAM. If you ever wanted to upgrade your system you would have to buy more RAM again.

256 Megabytes of 133 Mhz RAM is currently going for less than $100 US and 256 Megabytes of 100 Mhz RAM is going for $115 US. So you stand a chance at saving money as well.
