Hi

This is my first proper website which I slaved over in notepad so it's likely to have mistakes, I am also interested in browser compatibility, I use ie5 so it is quite likely it will not look quite right in Netscape or lower ie's. It has been open for just under 2 months which is why the counter is still quite low. Please feel free to say anything they will all be taken into account.

One last thing I tried to make it 100% of the page and failed so if anyone knows how to do that please please can you post the code and as I am colour blind I would like your views on the colour scheme.

The site looks OK, but I would make a few suggestions: 1)Your links would benefit if they were standard blue, its a little confusing. 2)Drop the counter. 3)You may want to explain why you're redirecting users on the buy link.

As far as 100% resolution, I didn't seem to have any problems. The site held its look at varying resolutions. As for your other requests, I ran it through http://www.netmechanic.com. The results are based on your homepage.

How about a nice complimentary color used somewhere on the page-- Like reversing out the menu header bars (black bars that say News, Reviews, Help, etc)

This blue goes pretty well with your ummm burnt sienna? hehe

Also people are used to things that look like buttons when they respond to polls. How about either:

Radio buttons with the labels next to them

or

<input type="button" value="Yes" onclick="javascript function that toggles a hidden field"> form submit buttons


If this were my site, I would:

1) reduce the menu font by a point at the top
2) Make the "Welcome" message a graphic in an interesting font

And welcome. Other viewers will be covering the organization of the site elements. I will be looking at the code.

If you have a code problem, it may never cause a page difficulty. On the otherhand, they generally are something easily fixed. And if there is a question about the problems I mention, just a reply back and I or someone else will be most happy to help. So here goes.

My editor keeps repeating that the digit identified by the class= attribute is in error. The spec shows that this should be a string. If browser problems occur, this may be a culprit.

I'm using IE 5, with 960x720 screen resolution.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

* Lose the counter...
* Make the menu bar up top "merge" with the graphic to the left of it.
* I would make the font in the menu a little bit smaller.
* You might want to make the table a fixed width instead of 100%, because on my monitor, there is a lot of white space.

In my personal opinion, I don't like the colors choosen. Try bringing in some more color, or changing some of the colors already there.

There is my advice, you can either take it, or reject it.

1.)The color black simply speaking you use it a lot, i think it would be better if you toned it down some?
2.)as someone previously stated make a complementary color
3.)the feedback/poll does not seem very professional like IMO, you can use freepolls.net(.com i dont remember), or you can use many cgi programs available.
4.)all of the text on the index page seems to be bolded again a very strong black....might deter some users away
5.)The logo, maybe a little bit more fancy with a swish or swoop?lol....
6.)remove the several exclamation marks on the tagline
"Welcome to Ebuydrum.co.uk, the first UK electronic
drum portal!!"
7.)the news aspect seems too plain, maybe a summary of each news article with a link to read more on the index page?
8.)loaded very quickly, excellant work

Thanks for your replies. Can anyone suggest another complimentary colour to go with with my colour scheme as it has been suggested that black is very domenant.

1. I think, black is too dramatic~!Can you please change to like aua blue,or metal blue, something more public. I think, whole black give us too close feeling. Am I entering to prison?

2. I know, ffedback is important for you, but, I will be appreciated if this can ask to some other page. Not in 1st page, where people try to understand what's going on this site.
