The forum you linked us to - looks like a vB forum, but has no license info.....

I was checking our site stats today and i seen a back link from this thread http://www.rapbattles.com/forum/show...threadid=97614 .
Looks like they plan on having fun at our forums. http://www.depression-forums.com
Worried about what they plan on doing.
I have closed the forum to guest viewing and disabled registrations for the time being, but i can't keep this for long as alot of people need access to our mental health support forum.

Anything else we can do to prevent these people from comming to cause havoc. ?
I'm not sure what to do, but as I said it's got me and the other admin very worried right now.

    thanks,
    Nic

So, what happened? Have your forums been closed ever since?

Do backups of your database, and monitor your server closely.

There isn't much else you can do.. but I'm not totally sure what they plan on doing.

@The vB thing - You can pay to remove the license, though I doubt they did...

You have done the right thing. Now, you can enable registrations. Create a new user group for new members, and upgrade them to the normal member group only when you are sure they are there for the right reasons. Till then, restrict priveleges for the new member group to a minimum. Nothing more than posting one post per 5 minutes. Not even images or the like. Also, disable access to sensitive forums.

If you find someone menacing around, don't hesitate to ban them instantly.

You should be fine, even though their community is a large one.

By the way, they do seem to have a copyright visible. So that's no problem.
