    Skinner/Partner needed

Hey everyone, I run On That Note music forums and in the past few weeks, we've grown to over 400 members, and are steadily increasing. The former skinners of my site have now left due to time constraints, and I am looking for someone to be able to do some skin work, and possibly co-admin if they would like.

I would not be able to pay, as I have no income from this site, purely for fun/entertainment. So if anyone has an interest in music and would like to help me out, let me know and we'll see what we can do.

I could try that - just thought I may find someone with a music interest who would like to get involved.

    Thanks.

In case we have any takers, doesn't seem like anyone within the site was able to help out. All I really need at this time is for someone to be able to take my current skins and adapt them to vB3 Beta 6. Does anyone think they can do that?

In all honesty, creating a skin, coding it, etc, (from scratch) is about a $300 design job.

Getting someone to do it for FREE.. er.. I just don't see it happening.

I'd be willing to help a little bit, as I created the skin for my site, however, my skin is a simple modification of the default 2.x skin.

    Good luck though.

    From what I've seen - that's just Ravio's prices...

But is vB 2.3.2 that different from vB3 Beta 6? I have the skins completed for vB2, I didn't realize it'd be such a big undertaking to adapt them for Beta 6.

Actually, we're on RC3 I belive now, (which is way past gamma) and the template files HARDLY resemble the previous versions.

    Answer, yes.

And no, Ravio's prices are much higher from what I've seen on their site. (Arent they 600+??), I had contacted Veroer (sp?) and they quoted me 300.

I suppose you might find a freelancer somewhere who could do it.

Well I know that the RC's changed drastically, but I thought the Beta versions were more similar. It was only in the RC's as well the vBulletin released it's new skin style(s).

From my personal experience, Gamma+ does not resemble previous versions.

In Gamma they introducted those new slick header thingy's, as well as static css text size.

It does have a free skinning resource..

If you want hacks, mods, etc there is http://vbulletin.org . In all honesty, you'll learn so much there you can skin to an extent. (as I did).

However, all your skinning questions can be answered at vbulletintemplates.com .

Both are FREE if you have a valid vB license.

Jeez you blokes in the vB world are hard done by. Even as a pro skinning board we offer some free skins to anyone who wants em....

There's probably an opening there in the vB market for some one doing decent free skins .... hmmmmm.....

Probably is! But consider that anyone who has vB obviously has money, so if you can make them pay, why not? (Theory in head of developers)

I'd just like to give this another try - I renewed my license and I have the latest version of vB3 (which is RC3). What would be a great help is if anyone can convert my current skin to work with vB3, no new images would need to be made or anything. Thanks.
