    Table knock out with javascript

    Howdy,
I have a page which when viewed on a MAC is fine, but when viewed on a PC seems to knock out. It only knocks out where I have used php includes or javascript. If you view this page on a PC under where it says "good morning" there shouldn't be a 10 px space and also under the image next to that.

    here's the address: http://www.alt-design.net/smithcooper

Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?

    thanks for your help.

Although the page looks good in IE6, I can see the "problem". I don't think it showed a 10 px space in my browser, more like a one or two. I can think of three possible reasons and solutions:

    1) Your images have a white bottom. If you converted them from jpg to gif, that will happen sometimes.

    2) You could try to set margins within your table at 0.

    3) Instead of valign="top", try valign="bottom" for cells that contain your images.

I think it's just down to the white space in your code.

If you remove the space in the following lines as shown below, then the problem goes away. At least it does in IE6+ on NT.
    Code:
    <img src="images/home/morning.gif"></td>
    ......
    <td width="518" valign="top"><script language="JavaScript"> //By Paul Davis - .....
    ....
    </script></td>
I know it doesn't make the code look pretty, but it does appear to solve the problem.
