    Placement of Boxes Using CSS

Hi there, I am having trouble trying to position 4 boxes using css. I have no clue to how to go about it beside using fixed position but this will only work on 1 resolution.

Here is and image of the rough guide:

I tried <div> tags but there is line break. Tried <span> tag, don't work also.

    Any help is gladly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

I'm coming across similar problems as well. A quick and dirty guide would sure be helpful.

This site doesn't have a layout exactly what you're after, but you might want to take a look:

I'm not sure if this will help, but my personal site is all CSS positioning and uses a wrapping div to achieve three columns, one fixed - two fluid. I copied the CSS from another site, but I can't remember which one. It's been bandied about on this forum as well as google if you start looking for three column css.

You can check out my site at: www.chrisboylan.com
    and the css at: layout.css.

If you put box A, B and D in the columns-float div and box c in column-three div, you should be starting on the right path. Basically, keep nesting divs within divs and use percentage widths.
