    Table leaves 1px outer border

    I'm working on a project where I have a table that doesn't seem to want to part with its border. I have the border attribute set to 0 and cellpadding / cellspacing is 0 as well. However, when I look at the table in IE, there is a 1 (maybe 2) pixel border around the table (but not the cells). I was wondering if there's a CSS style that I can apply to the table itself to remove this.

    Has anyone else experienced something like this? What was the solution?

    Incidentally, I know I can re-code the header using layers and absolutely positioned elements, but unfortunately that's not an option at the moment.

    Thanks in advance,

    CSS:
    Code:
    table {
      border: none;
     /*maybe this will work? */
    }
