    X&Y Scrollbars

    How do I turn off the horizonatal scroll bar on a body or iframe etc, while leaving the vertical?

    In css.

    Don't make ur content wider than the viewport? E.g. set width to 100%, not 800px or summat?

    CSS.

    I know its something to do with x-scroll and y-scroll, or something like that, but im not sure what the actual variables are.

    In that case my friend I think you need to look at a site called Google.com, and search for scrollbar and css.

    both at present MSIE6 proprietory attributes

    though you would do well to address the excessively wide layout that is creating the horizontal scrollbar to appear in the first place (as GamblingHarry suggested).

    fix the problem, not the symptom.
