Netscape will not work with.....
Hello,
I am working on my sites icons. I have found that if you are using Netscape those icons become unclickable. The icons are located on the right side of the logo on my site: http://www.yourautoplace.com
--------Here is the code that I am using-------
<!---start map---->
<map name=m>
<area alt="Auctions" coords="300,110,106,76" href=http://abay.yourautoplace.com>
<area alt=Chat coords="340,110,170,76" href=http://chat.yourautoplace.com>
<area alt=E-mail coords="405,110,241,76" href=http://e-mail.yourautoplace.com>
<area alt=Finance coords="460,110,342,76" href=http://news.yourautoplace.com/finance/index.html>
<area alt=Forums coords="500,110,418,76" href=http://shop.yourautoplace.com/info/discounts.html>
<area alt=calendar coords="520,110,550,76" href=http://yourautoplace.zzn.com/email/english/noframes/preferences/calendar_prf.asp></map>
<img border=0 usemap="#m" src=http://yourautoplace.com/images/logos/m6v8b.jpg alt="YourAutoPlace.com">
<!---end map---->
Why are those icons unclickable if you are using Netscape?http://www.CreativeCoveringSolutions.com

[note: something like this would probably be better in the Browser Issues forum]
Netscape 4.8 seems to be freaked out by the order you put the co-ordinates in. The HTML 4 spec (http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/...ml#adef-coords) says:The number and order of values depends on the shape being defined. Possible combinations:
- rect: left-x, top-y, right-x, bottom-y.
Other browsers seem to cope, but NN4.x gets confused.
So: swap the co-ordinates around. While you're at it, I'd recommend adding quotes to all the attributes, so you end up with something like this:HTML Code:<map name="m"> <area alt="Auctions" coords="106,76,300,110" href="http://..."> <area alt="Chat" coords="170,76,340,110" href="http://..."> <area alt="E-mail" coords="241,76,405,110" href="http://..."> <area alt="Finance" coords="342,76,460,110" href="http://..."> <area alt="Forums" coords="418,76,500,110" href="http://...">
HTML Code: <area alt="calendar" coords="520,76,550,110" href="http://..."> </map> <img border="0" usemap="#m" src="http://..." alt="YourAutoPlace.com">

sorry blue, didn't see you had it in yours.
anyway, reordering the coordinates does indeed work in Netscape 7.0 (just tested it)
Code:<map name="m"> <area href="http://abay.yourautoplace.com/" coords="106,76,300,110" alt="Auctions"> <area href="http://chat.yourautoplace.com/" coords="170,76,340,110" alt="Chat"> <area href="http://e-mail.yourautoplace.com/" coords="241,76,405,110" alt="E-mail"> <area href="http://news.yourautoplace.com/finance/index.html" coords="342,76,460,110" alt="Finance"> <area href="http://shop.yourautoplace.com/info/discounts.html" coords="418,76,500,110," alt="Forums"> <area href="http://yourautoplace.zzn.com/email/english/noframes/preferences/calendar_prf.asp" coords="520,76,550,110" alt="calendar"> </map>
