Does the look of this site bother you

I was looking for jobs and came across one for a webdesigner for this website
    http://www.intergov.org/

Anyway, not only is the design of it poor (IMO), the fact that there are 3 scrolling sections, ALL WITH DIFFERENT SPEEDS, really annoys me.

OH, and don't forget to mouse hover over the virus alerts.

Just wondering what others thought of this page.

I think you should post it in this thread quickly, before a winner is declared!

And I've looked deeper into this site - at Web University - number 103, says:

"Bytes are measured in the metric system, which won’t be unfamiliar to you if you live outside the US. But for those of you that are confused when you buy a 2-Liter from the grocery store, this table may help you figure out what people are talking about when they refer to a Megabyte."

    Now that's a new explanation

DEFINATELY want this for Monday and Tuesday!

Thumbs up My kind of job!

If I was you, I'd take it!

Providing its the environment where you can make the decisions needed and you'll be supported. And low-hanging fruit would be to put a free search engine on it from the likes of Atomz, and they'll love you.

Please let us know if you take it...

I hope you are being sarcastic. From the description of the job, it made it sound like the worker would do site updates to that site as well as their partner sites

    Question Maintain or redesign?

Is is a position to redesign the site, or simply maintain it as is. I was referring to the former, not the latter. Holding a sign "will code for food" at the end of an exit ramp is a more fulfilling task than maintaining that labrynth.

That website sucks. They should add a few more box structures, I do not think they have enough of them yet. That is sad... I have seen 10 year olds on this board that could whip up a site better than that in 2 days. Really sad. Don't get me wrong, there are far uglier, but that is supposed to represent the gov in any way? pooh on them
