how to reference original window from popup?

Hi,
I have a webpage with a link that produces a popup using javascript. I have another link in the popup. When the popup link is clicked I want only the original window to change location, while the popup remains the same. How can this be done?

one thing though, when the link is clicked the original window changes location fine, but the popup also changes location, is there any way to make the popup retain its current location?

Just change this ...
<a href="somelink.htm"
to this ...
<a href="#"

Think that will cut it.

timmoser ... no no no! # is the same as #top, which will make the popup scroll to the top of the page.

damon, are you sure you included the return false; -- because that should prevent the popup from changing as well.
