Do Not Call List
Hey,
I didn't see anything about it on the forums anywhere and I figure it's a 'legal issue'. Anyway, all over the articles on sitepoint it talks about making cold calls. So my question is, does the 'do not call list' have any affect on freelancers and web development companies who are trying to make cold calls?

I do not believe that the "do not call" registry applies to b2b calls. That is considered an accepted part of normal business.

You are right - we've been informed that the do not call lists and laws only apply to personal/residential lines. It is actually murky/grey as to whether they apply to cell lines also.
We have 8 biz lines in our office - that makes alot of marketing and automated calls always coming in.Brian Poirier
