I am currently evaluating pay-per-search affiliate programs that offer paid-results that integrate into the design of the referring site and do not require a branded search box. The two that seem most promising are 7Search and SearchFuel. However, the 7Search ToS basically state that they do not have to pay you if they do not want to. Has anybody used 7Search's program successfully? What about SearchFuel?

You might check out http://www.SearchReferral.com...they offer 3cents per click or 50% of the bid (whichever is higher) via their proprietary SearchAlchemy system. They also allow search boxes or hypertext referred searches.

The problem with all of the services you mentioned are that they require the use of a search box branded with the identity of the appropriate search engine. I will be integrating my search into a downloadable program (with no 3rd party branding) and opening results in a new window. Because I will be offering an incentive to search (but not to click on results), I can only use programs that pay based on actual sponsored clickthroughs instead of mere searches.

The only two published programs that conform to these requirements are SearchFuel and 7Search. 7Search seems like it offers better rates, but their ToS seem to imply that they can decline to pay you for any reason. Has anybody used them successfully and been paid?

    AdSwappers,

IMHO you'd be wise to discuss this with your search partner from the get go.

I would still consider that an incentivized search, and, in addition, most affiliate tracking software is designed to discard any traffic coming from any type of software other than a web browser.

SI will be offering a private label program very soon. Sprinks may be a good alternative for you as well.

Will the SI private label program offer the ability to use unbranded search boxes (in software) and pay a percentage of actual revenue generated, instead of a per-search fee? Approximately when will it be made available? The software will not be done until either late Jan or Feb. The "incentive" that I am offering for searches performed is not financial--it is only good for credits that can be used for advertising; is that still considered an "incentivized" search? Since no credit is given for clickthroughs and anti-cheat scripts will be used, it should give advertisers much higher quality clickthroughs than these "paid-to-search" engines.

    Lenny,

SearchReferral has exactly what you're looking for. A generic search result page which you can incorporate into your site, 50% rev split and a .03 cent flat program.

Search123.com is our engine...we are not a broker.

Please email me directly and we'll get you hooked up.

Brian123, I don't see how I can incorporate the search result of SearchReferal in my site. Can you show me how? I thought the only way is to use your company's search result page, isn't it?

I use NBCI's search box it pays .06 per click and works very well. They dont mind if you modify the layout as long as you ask first.

    pippen,

Add the following to the end of all your lext links:

    &BRAND=1

Add the following to all your SearchReferral Search boxes.

    <input type="hidden" name="BRAND" value="1">

This generic type of result page works best with frames or a php include.

This is just one of the many program enhancements we'll be introducing on a wide scale very soon.

You can see it in operation here:

    Good luck!

Brian123, my textlinks are like this:

    http://www.searchreferral.com/alchem...123&query=Cars

    So I add &BRAND=1

    http://www.searchreferral.com/alchem...y=Cars&BRAND=1

Doesn't seem to make a difference...

    Am I doing something wrong?

Brian, your service looks like what I'd need but, until I can ensure that cheting/fraudulent searches will account for less than .1% of overall volume, I wil only use a service that pays for actual clickthroughs. Consequently, I will use SearchFuel at 5c per clickthrough instead of your 3c per search. Since I am having the software open a page on my site that will redirect to the actual search service I am using, I have the ability to switch to your program once the quality of my traffic can be guaranteed. BTW, how can you support such high rates when most of your searches do not even have $.03 bids?

    Lenny,

I'd like to discuss this with you further. Our 50% program requires click thrus. The 3 cent program is for low bided terms.

Currently we have over 15,000 popular terms that are bidded above 7 cents, hundreds of them are even over 15 cents....what terms did you find that had low bids?

Please email me, I'd like to discuss this further and see how we might work out something.

    BrianS123,

I'm must say I'm intrigued by the concept of serving the results WITHIN my site. Currently all my searches (from Search123) pop-up in a new window. I have a search box on every sub-page of my site {Search123 is fast becoming my #1 money maker } Is there a way to allow the searchers to input a search term into a search123 box within a static page and then be redirected to a page modified to display my navigation side-bar and header (most likely a nested frame page)AND the appropriate search123 results page?

I would like to point out that you are not supposed to promote your own affiliate programs within these forums. However, since this thread seems to be worthwhile, I will let it stand. Next time it may be deleted though.

    Wayne Luke,

Your open-mindedness is appreciated...these forums are above all supposed to be an asset to the web community. I personally have learned more from reading these forums than I have from almost anywhere else. Being able to seperate blantant self-promotion from useful discussion is the sign of a good admin

After all BrianS123 didn't start this thread...he's just answering questions!

    Thank you,

    tokenmaster,

Yes this is possible. I'll send you email on how to do this.

...it's a fine line between answering questions and advertising your own program. Our program is different, currently there are few webmasters that can help fellow webmasters with our program.

I'm sure other webmasters AND programs appreciate some flexibility. Imagine a board where all the posts read something like: "email me and I'll tell you how." I think we will all benefit from some flexibility.

    Thanks again Luke.

    Doni,

I just went and checked out NBCi's program (particularly since GoTo won't create a properly sized Search Box for me). In reading the Affiliate Agreement, it says that they pay .01-.06 per click, but it doesn't elaborate on what determines if you get .01 or .06. Can you shed some light on this?

I just wanted to add I very highly recommend SearchTraffic.com. They pay a flat $0.05 per search, so you don't have to worry about getting those $0.01 searches, or less. I recently got payment from them, so I know they are legit.

I am also interested in this search results in your page.

I am building a directory of sites and when a search is done on these sites, i want to list first results from my directory and secondly, results from a pay per click directory. If this is allowed??? then would this be possible (i can do the cgi to encorporate it).

Otherwise, goto.com i still like at $0.03 - regular payers and also it is not unique surfers like some just unique searches.

Thanks for the kind words M. James.
Padders, I challenge anyone to run a searchtraffic.com box and then run someone elses. We pay monthly, goto pays 4 times a year. other guys have all sorts of come ons, sliding scales, initial offers, cool this, cool that.
We just have this boring old program paying 5 cents a search.

that is fine, but i have the following questions:

    1) Do you pay per "unique search" as opposed to "unique user/ip"
    2) Will you allow your search engine results to be included in my page, using my branding, beneath results from my own search engine?
