    Question Content does not display in IE until you move your mouse

    Here's a strange one: on this page-- http://www.smileycat.com/compass/login.html -- the content at the top of the page does not completely display in IE 6 until I move my mouse. Does anyone have an idea why? I have never come across this problem before. It works fine in Mozilla, so it must be some kind of IE bug, but I have no idea what.

    My stylesheet is here: http://www.smileycat.com/compass/compass_styles.css

    I can't seem to reproduce the problem you're having here - I too am running IE6 and it displays perfectly as soon as I visit the URL.

    Nice page btw

    Hi,

    Add position relative as follows.
    Code:
    #content, #contentIndex {
    padding: 0px 0px 10px 0px;
    margin-left: 162px;
    background-color: #fff;
    border-left: 1px solid #aaab9c;
    position:relative;
    }
    Ie has a bug in that it doesn't display content in some cases especially where explicits widths haven't been declared or (and also on positioned child elements and floats).

    Setting an explicit width would also fix it.

    Known as the Peekaboo bug, it had me stumped not too long ago as well. See this page for a demonstration and some fixes:
