I am trying to find templates to develop a site that will show some hand- made products of my home town.

Try www.elated.com. Lots of free template packs that include the Pshop graphics for you to adapt. Different styles of sites so you might find something appropriate to your needs.

http://oswd.org/ if you want free templates. Most of them are actually of decent quality and are up to snuff standards-wise.
