    Question Is it optimized?

    Hey group,

I was hesitant on asking the forum this question because I thought it might be a lame question, but I see there are so many knowledgeable people on here I thought I would give it a shot. (A little brown nosing {wink wink}.

I am using Web Position Gold 2, the free trial down load. I am trying to optimize my website and the software is telling me that there is 0 “zero” text in the body of my pages. This is strange since I know I have quite a lot of text in there. I am trying to make my site search engine friendly and i am focusing on the key words "mortgage lead" and "internet mortgage lead"

Would you guys / girls mind looking at my site and telling me what is wrong with it. Feel free to technically rip it apart.

Have you checked your code for errors? I had a brief look and found a few. Web Position Gold may have trouble spidering the page if there are errors.

Took a look at your site, sorry, don't want to read that kind of coding... Generally don't like the table design and prefer much, much more css for styling and there external files.

    Good luck!

Should you meet any difficulties, you know where to ask! Right?

I have just opened my new site at Shiatsu Finland and now I am working on the optimation for the seacr engines. (... or I should be) I decided to do the site only with external css and xhtml. You may take a look, if you want. The greatest challange I think I had to meet is browser compliancy. That's a bugger :| My site is now best viewed with Netscape 7.1, but will, of course, somewhat work with all of them that are compliant with CSS2. However, they parse the code a bit differently. You may experience that on my site So, when you do the design, if you want to know what happens with different browser, you should have all of them to test! Of course, if you know that your target group(s) has only certaint browser, then you know what to do.

Well, this message got carried out a bit messy, but hope this can help you out a bit...

The others gave good advice, however, I ran your code through Homesite's Code Verifier and apart from very minor issues, the major errors are invalid table nesting and incorrect placement of the <center> tag between <tr>'s.

Tidal, I downloaded a copy of homesites code verifer and i could not beleive it. You are right, there are errors though out my website. I have been using FP and it does not show any errors at all. I have plans of updating my FP to the latest version which competes with Homesites, but in the intrium i will correct my code. Thanks for pointin this out to me.

Too true...I started using it for my client (he had it, I tried it)

It tells me that I need 6 to 8 keywords in the title, but need the keyword in there 12 times.

So, I come here to learn from the Gurus

I'm thinking about getting this. Not for optimization and not for automated submissions but only to run some reports on the current positions of some sites I manage for a few clients of mine who's sites I manage. I'm basically looking for something that can quicly generate some reports that I can then print out.

Is WebPostion Gold useful for reporting?

    thanks,
    jeff
