    bordercolor and Mozilla

    Hello,

    I want to change the border colour of a table. In IE its possible to use bordercolor="" within the table tag. This is not possible in Mozilla. You have to do it that way:

    td {border: 1px solid #dcdcdc;}

    I don't want to use this because there are other tables which should not be affected by these settings. So one workaround is to use classes, but this would mean that _every_ td tag needs a class definition which bloats the html code.

    I tried this but it will only change the outer border:

    table.abc {border: 1px solid #dcdcdc;}

    Also this doesn't work:

    tr.abc {border: 1px solid #dcdcdc;}

    Maybe somebody has other ideas..

    give the table an id, then the rule turns into

    Code:
    table#whatever td { border: 1px solid #dcdcdc;}

    <table id="whatever"> ... </table>
    or you can use classes
    Code:
    table.whatever td { border: 1px solid #dcdcdc;}

    <table class="whatever"> ... </table>
