Sending & Managing an Ezine Subscriber Base

I have an ezine I send out once a month and so far I've just been gathering emails and grouping them in Outlook Express. Not the best method but a temporary solution because of tight finances.

Recently I switched from dial up to yahoo sbc dsl and I found that they have a spam guard that won't allow you to send out an email to any more than 100 subscribers at a time. This causes a real problem for my ezine. I've talked with them to see if anything could be done telling them this is an opt in list and that I'm not spamming and was told, "sorry" that's our limitation. I have over 200 members in my email list and it's growing. Does anyone have an inexpensive solution for how I can circumvent this challenge?

Also, when I collect the email info I am also collecting address info too just in case I want to do a regular mailing. I know yahoogroups.com is a possible solution if I only want to collect emails but they don't have that additional option of collecting demographic info.

I have several websites and have the subscription info set up on several different sites where someone can subscribe to several of my ezines at once. If I set up with yahoo groups then I don't know if subscribing to several lists would be possible. Is there a software that would allow me to a) send out my ezine without having to deal with the sbc headache? b) allow me to gather the email and address info? c) Is inexpensive

    Thanks

    Check out www.topica.com, or groups.yahoo.com

If you have your own website - you can even set it up there. I have some ASP scripts but not too certain if you can use ASP or PHP

Thanks for the input. I'm familiar with Yahoo Groups. Yahoo doesn't thrill me because of all their advertising. I took a look at Topica. They look interesting. I do have my own website and it is hosted on Web Intellects. I have no idea for how to set it up on my own website. Is there some sort of tutorial?

Well some hosting companies offer Mailman - you might see if they do. Otherwise - you can get your own scripts (PHP/ASP - not too sure if you are on Linux/Windows. And then you can manage everything there.

Here are a few others as well:
