Hi, I need a login system for members set up and a method by which members can enter information through forms and that information can be conglomerated and displayed to all visitors of the website through charts/graphs/text. I have considered doing this on my own, but decided against it. I am currently looking to hire someone to do this for me. My question is whether or not there is a somewhat out-of-the-box solution for either the login or statistical data gathering and display or if I should indeed hire someone? Please let me know, thanks a lot!

There aren't very many out of the box database solutions, and out of the ones that there are there are even less good ones. This is simply because of the complexity of the design. There is no "one size fits all" in the world of database connectivity.

So my advice is to hire someone. And my advice would to be to hire someone from the SP forums. Simply because you could probably trust the person more, and you'd get a better deal.

You could post a job listing in the trading post forums, just remember you're not allowed to mention any specific dollar amounts, that business should be kept in email.

I concur - sounds like some fairly specialized worked. Obviously anyone who's going to sit down and write a script to perform some sort of task is going to have it perform a task broad enough that many people will find it useful - and few people will want to do things that specific.

Here are a few sites where (I believe) you can post looking for programmings to hire:

    http://www.guru.com
    http://www.elance.com
    http://www.phpbuilder.com

    Good luck!
