    Proper usage?

I'm wondering about the usage of company names such as MyBiz Co., Yourbiz Inc., Anyonesbiz LLC., but how about the useage of DBA?

Is DBA announced/written before or after the comapny name? Or at all?

It depends on your particular area/state.
Some require the DBA, some don't.

    Here's an example.
The company I work for is actualy incorporated as "Gulf Coast Investigations & Consulting Network Inc" but that's 'klunky' so we have a DBA filed at the state and county level for "Paladin International, Inc".

We call ourselves and conduct business as Paladin International, Inc and most of our clients (even staff) have never heard the name Gulf Coast.

We could say "Gulf Coast Investigations & Consulting Network Inc doing business as Paladin International, Inc" but that's just as klunky and unneeded in our area.

Thanks Brian! So I've already registered the DBA with my local town, but is it proper to use the actual phrase "DBA" at the end of the name?

    Example: Mybusiness DBA

Since I'm not incorporated I can't use Inc. I know what the DBA stands for and is used for, but I've never seen it used in an actual business name.

Actually it would be before the name, such as "John Smith DBA Mybusiness". But you would probably not use it anywhere at all except on your business bank account and tax statements, and instead just use "Mybusiness".
