    Form button CSS problem

    Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can change the style of the 'down arrow' within a select menu using CSS ? I have tried numerous things but can't get it to work.

    Thanks

You can't. Dropdowns are usually rendered by the OS not the browser.

It really is a shame though, because if you stylize your form radically then the grey dropdown button and browse button for file inputs can be really jarring.

I usually don't change the colors of form buttons drastically, so it's not a big deal, but I can relate.

I agree. However, you also have some operating systems/browsers that don't take styling of any form controls too well, and just stick to the default OS style most of the time (Apple's Safari browser comes to mind).

Thanks - real shame that - no wonder I couldn't get it to work.
