    Making search results display in bottom frame?

    Hey,

    I have a page where I have a top frame and a bottom frame (normal frames setup). People type in a text box, hit enter and the results are displayed. It uses the form tag, etc. All pretty simple. How do I make it so that the results display in that bottom frame?

    Thanks.

    Set the target attribute of the <form> tag to the name of the bottom frame.

    And if you do that I am pretty sure that the code that processes the form needs to be in that bottom frame or called by it at least.

    Yes it would in this case, but I would assume that the page that processes the form would be the same page that renders the results.

    If not, it becomes a little more tricky, if not impossible to achieve in any satisfactory way.

    Hey,

    Thanks for the responses.

    http://www.karateforums.com/shop

    See the search box in the top one (disregard all style/attention to detail as I am getting this settled before I put more time into it)? I want the results to display in the bottom frame. Is that really impossible? It would seem to be easy, I just don't know how.

    Thanks.

    Change your opening <form> tag to this:
    HTML Code:
    <form method="get" action="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/external-search" target="bottom">

    Sorry, my second post may have confused you, but the first answer applies for this case, so just do as Vinnie said and you'll have clear sailing.
