    menu link color being overridden by header

    Hello

    My site consists of 4 sections:
    header, side menu, main, footer

    The pages are save as "shtml" and use SSI to execute the respective pages.

    But everytime I change the link font size and colour in the menu, it takes the info from the header file. If I look at the menu by iteself, it is perfect. When all four are put together, the header over rides the other files.

    How do I counteract this............How does the menu get the right size and color?
    thx

    You probably have some css defined in your header. Can you post the code for the header?

    It is just standard html. I didn;t use CSS.
    HTML Code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>XXXX~ Your Wedding Search Portal and Bridal Resource Center</title>

    </head>
    <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" link="#FFFFFF" vlink="#C0C0C0" alink="#FFFFFF">
    <p align="left"><img src="logo.jpg"

    width="758" height="148"></p>
    <div align="center"><div align="center"><center>
    <table border="0" width="750" bgcolor="#600002">
    <tr>
    <td width="100%></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </center></div>
