I'm breaking my head trying to find a good screen capture program. Can anyone suggest a good program that will actually capture "whole" screens at once, including parts that can only be accessed by scrolling down?

For example, say a thread at the sitepointforums... how can I capture the whole page to the clipboard? I know psp has something like this... any other program?

    Thanks,
    Arpith

I don't think there is such a program. Your best bet would be to just capture the screen by pushing the "Print Screen" button. If you really wanted to achieve what you're thinking of, then you'd have to print the screen, scroll down, print the screen, scroll down, etc.. Then just paste them together

You could use Paint Shop Pro's capture button. Though Justin's way is probaly the best.

    Just use windows.

Hit alt-printscreen and it'll copy your current screen to the clipboard as an image. Open up your editor and paste it.

The thing about Alt+PrtScrn and the dozen other programs I downloaded the past 2 days is that it doesn't allow me to capture screens that scroll down.... take for example this thread.... how can I copy the whole thread all the way from the header to the footer of the page to my image editor?

Justin: I did try print, scroll, print.... method, it just takes too much time :-) And too much effort zooming in and trying to align pages... plus, I need to get screenshots of atleast 25-30 screens and it would take forever working on each one :-(

I thought paint shop pro did this... does it?

But, I'm downloading Hypersnap... hopefully that will do it :-)

    Thanks!

Just get a 24' monitor and change your screen resolution to 2048x1536...I think that will cover most all of the posts, including multiple browser windows side by side.

Perhaps you could use Opera and zoom out, and then take a screen shot. This could work quite well, because I expect you would reduce the images anyway?
