    Hi Andysan,

Well if you stay in the capitals it's fairly easy, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are probably your best bet, I know the cost of living is fairly high in Sydney though.

The best place to check out would by http://www.seek.com.au or http://www.monsterboard.com.au

Hope you find somthing to suite you

Andysan, if your from England dont bother. The money you make over here will be worth nothing when you go back home. Reason being is that the Australian dollar is so poor.

I plan on going to England when I'm 18, I could work there for a year, and come back fairly well off (if I do well of course).

I totaly agree with everyone Australia is the best (no comment mad-onion).

There are many places that are great to visit and most likley you wont be able to see them all at once but it will be more than worth it.

Just remember we drive on the opposite side of the road to you HEHEHE

    Hey mate,

Australia is a desert...although beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

RussellG you should come down to nz just for a few days (you will find everything is so much cheaper than in england, about a third or more), and im sure big_al can jump the ditch (term for travelling between aussie and nz) for the day and show you how to shag a sheep...aussie style...lol.

I would also like to point out that i have made no comment regarding your last post al.

    Cheers

    LOL

Melbourne's a lovely city to live in.... Though the weather over the last 48 hours has been unpredictable - we've gone from 100 fahrenheit (37 Celsius) and searing sun to flash flooding and about 20 Celsius in 24 hours.
My 2 Cents (or is that 2.2 Cents including GST?)

    ahh good ol' melbourne.
They say about melbourne: If it's 40 C outside, take a jumper
    heheheh

I'd have to say that the area around queenstown NZ, is my favourite spot in the whole world

I welcome you to come to Perth though... it's better than all of Australia..... and we got a belltower now

Seriously, everywhere in the country there is a quite serious shortage of IT staff, so if your any good, chances are you'll find some work

    Yes i remember melbourne...

walk into the ice cream store (40C outside) by the time you walk out it is raining, and you think why did i want an ice cream in this weather.

And no this is not me trying to demonstrate the poor service offered by aussie shops.

    Peace!!!

    Hi,

There are plenty of budget style motels around and then it will just be a matter of getting a unit or apartment to live in.

As for the freelance angencies I can't help you out on that one, but if you find one tells us about it, I'd love to know

Brisbane is a great choice, it's cost of living is lower than that of sydney and generaly a nice place.

If you are going to do freelance work from home why not try the gold coast hehehe sand, sun, surf....and a whole lot of good looking beach bunnies walking around hehehehehe

Al, Gold Coast is a bit crowded for my tastes at peak period... I prefer Noosa any time

Andy, if you manage to get a web design job in any city, the company should be able to provide relocation assistance for you in some form (like money for rent, help you look for housing, etc.). Otherwise you should look at the classified pages in the local paper and do house-hunting the normal way
