form to transmit credit card info

We currently have a form that transmits order data to our client:

    http://hadleyprinting.com/smith/newindex.html

They would now like to accept credit card information through this form. I know we will need to set up a secure page to enter this info, but then we run into how to handle after that. We can't send this information via email securely and the client doesn't necessarily want to process the credit card online just receive it. How would you proceed?

    Thanks.

Using PGP or GPG if you have it on your server. This encrypts the email from the server and can only be decrypted by the recipient.

You could use the encryption/decryption as said above, after which you would simply use a Virtual Terminal to key in the order once it is ready.

    Cheers

If they have a brick & mortar account & they are wanting to process the credit card via that merchant account - it could be costly. It could raise the discount rate from 1.55% to over 3% for that transaction. Plus if they start to process a lot of keyed transactions, their processor could investigate.

Visa/Mastercard require you to have a internet/telephone/mail order account if you are accepting credit cards via these means. It might be beneficial to just get a merchant account to process these or one as James mentioned that had a virtual terminal.
