    Inaccessible form fields

    Hi, quick question.

What would cause text fields in a form to be inaccessible? What I mean is that they appear fine, but you can't click in them to type anything. They're not grayed out, but the cursor remains an arrow.

I realize this is a general question, but I am trying to narrow down the possibilities so that I can see where the problem might lie. I have javascript and flash on both html and asp pages -- the problem's the same in both, globally.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

it would be a lot more helpful if you could point us to a url, so we can see what your specific problem is...

Unfortunately, this is a company intranet site, only accessible through the network. I wish I could post the URL too, as it would reveal more than I can.

Found an interesting thing though: when I place the mouse arrow at the most left hand side of the text field, it changes into a text cursor, and I can then click on it and type as normal. But anywhere else in the field, and it stays an arrow. I have to be right at the edge of the field to do this.

Perhaps is there something in the input tag I should add?

    Thanks for your help.

    Helen
